Air-Quality Monitoring Dashboard - Beta Version March 2026

This dashboard reports the AQHI from Continuous Air Quality Monitoring Stations and the PM2.5 concentration from Purple Air microsensors, to provide up-to-date and local information based on your location. The recommended use of this dashboard is to monitor the AQHI from Continuous Monitoring Stations, which is calculated using 3 major pollutants (Nitrogen dioxide, Ozone and PM2.5), and the PM2.5 concentration from Purple Air Microsensors, for risk assessment.

An AQHI of 7 corresponds to a level considered high risk for the general population. At-risk groups (e.g. infants and children, the elderly, pregnant people and those with pre-existing conditions) are at greater risk at lower levels. More details on the impacts on children, and guidance for childcare centers on the use of AQ monitoring, can be found here.

The data provided by stations and sensors on this website is provided “as is” to inform public decision making; the University of Alberta does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of the data, nor guarantee safety or assume responsibility for health outcomes. The Canada ECCC correction factor has been applied to the PurpleAir PM2.5 data.
